July 20 2013
Hi Transit Traders!

We had a great meeting on Saturday.  Karen invited two new members – Carolyn Williams and Jill Phillips, both from Franklin - Welcome!

The heat and humidity were intense earlier this month.  It is a busy time of year with summer plans and vacations.   9 of 19 established members were present.

Committee updates were presented for our upcoming show at the Mosaic Cafe.  The bio committee is gathering information and taking pictures for the “Bio Book.”  10 people are on the food committee and will coordinate more of the details at the next meeting.  The Title Panel is nearly complete.  Options for Publicity were presented.

We shared our "Show & Tells" - the Ancestor Challenge, from two meetings ago, so members who were absent from the last meeting could see them and then the "Stack and Whack"/"Stack, Tear, Shuffle" technique demonstrated by Lisa Tawney in May.

We did our regular trade, which is always fun!

Lisa Tawney then showed us how to make Paper Dolls for ATCs.  How ADORABLE!  Thank you Lisa!  This will be our challenge for the next meeting.  Create at least one ATC incorporating your paper doll to do a show & tell with the group.

We set the next meeting for Sat. Sept. 14th at 1pm.  We will not have a demonstration so we can finalize details for the show.

Here is a checklist for members for the next meeting:

-Prepare up to 20 ATCs to trade in the general swap  (if everyone attends, there are now 21 members!)
-Bring your JAMS to trade or distribute (if finished)
-Bring your framed ATCs for the show that include your name and ATC title on the back of the frame
-Bring your Show & Tell/Challenge: Paper Doll as demonstrated by Lisa Tawney
