In the midst of a busy Spring season, 14 Transit Traders met and shared Tai Chi poses, laughter, and chocolate.  And, of course, Artist Trading Cards.  13 people traded, 1 by proxy.

The Transit Traders in the beautiful Great Room of the Transit Building.

The Graffiti Gallery's Junk Show 4 will be opening on June 5, 2015 from 5pm-7pm.  Our own Carol McDonald is the Featured Artist!  Congratulations Carol!!!   Click here for more information.

Our own Nicole Keller will be teaching an Artist Trading Card Class on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 1pm-4pm at the Transit Building.  Yay Nicole!

At our meeting, Nancy L. demonstrated and workshopped Paper Molding.  Toilet paper, paper towels, or napkins can be molded into shapes using a make-up applicator, water, and a solid image stamp.  Who knew? Thank you Nancy L.!

Nancy teaches Brenda how to saturate the paper with water allowing it to mold around the rubber stamp.

We did our Blind Calendar trade for May and June and then our Show & Tell of the 3 challenges from March's meeting.

We divided the group into two to trade 10 or less cards among the members.  It was a multi-step process to allow everyone to see everyone's cards and then to divide the group into two to trade.  The feedback from most members was that it was too confusing and people wanted to trade with everybody.  Well, we tried.  We are going back to preparing up to 20 ATCs for the next meeting. Thank you to everyone for participating in the experiment!

Sue created a bag of ribbons and papers for each of us and challenged us to make at least one ATC from it.  In doing this, Sue was able to clean-out her studio and we have new things to play with.  A win-win situation!  Thank you Sue!

Sue also volunteered to do a demonstration & workshop for the next meeting.

For the next meeting, bring:
Challenge: (1) ATC using the Paper Molding technique demonstrated by Nancy L.
Challenge: (1) ATC using the supplies out of Sue's kit
(1) July & (1) August ATC for the Blind Calendar Trade
Up to 20 ATC's for the regular trade
JAMS to trade

The next meeting is July 18, 2015 at 1pm at The Transit Building.
