September 20, 2014

On a sunny & beautiful day, 13 of us met at the Transit Building.  1 traded by proxy.  We had 1 new guest who is considering joining our group (we hope you do!).

After sharing announcements about upcoming events, we distributed our birthday ATCs.

We then did show-and-tell for an ATC with a Nature Stamp and an ATC with Cheese Cloth.  There was such innovation!

Linda demonstrated Gelatos; Thank You Linda!  Many of us were introduced to this medium for the first time.  The Gelatos were very smooth.  We applied various colors to 140 lb. watercolor paper that Linda had already applied Gesso to.  We could then spray water to blend the colors more if desired.

Gelatos are made by Faber Castell and Ranger

Simultaneously, we did a Punch-A-Round.  We took pieces of paper to each person's station and used punches that each member brought to share.  This was such a great idea!  Thank you!

Marilyn kindly brought packs of ATC paper to share with earth tones and interesting patterns.  Thank you Marilyn!

The 3 Challenges for next time are:
1) An ATC using Gelatos
2) An ATC with a Punched Image from Punch-A-Round
3) An ATC using paper from Marilyn

The next "A-Round" will be with Word/Sentiment Stamps.  Please also bring paper and ink pads.

Nancy L. volunteered to do the next Demonstration/Workshop for a technique using a brayer and rubber bands of various widths.

There will be 5 birthdays for November and December.

The next meeting will be on Saturday, November 8th at 1pm at the Transit Building.

So, please bring:  ATCs to trade (they can be Christmas/Winter theme if you want), JAMS to trade, the 3 Challenges listed above, 5 Birthday ATCs, brayer and rubber bands of various widths (if you have them), word/sentiment stamps, paper to stamp on, and ink pads.

Enjoy the beginning of this Lovely Fall!
