Well, officially, this very long Winter is over as Spring began 2 days ago. Unofficially, the seasons have not quite changed yet. It was nice to see everyone. The laughter, friendships, and shared creativity are why we do what we do.
12 people were in attendance. 11 Artists traded in-person; 1 traded by proxy.
We collected birthday ATCs to mail to Nancy F; we will miss you! We sang Happy Birthday to Nancy D. and gave her the birthday ATCs that we made for her. Happy Birthday!
We did our show-and-tells of:
-Shaped ATC (using the template from Linda)
-Heat Embossing
-Charlie Chaplin
Sue demonstrated/workshop-ed stenciling. The results were vibrant and beautiful!
If available, Carol will do the next demonstration/workshop. If Carol is not available, Linda will do one. (Thank you!)
The next meeting will be May 17, 2014 at 1pm at the Transit Building. So:
Please bring a stamp (acrylic, rubber, etc.) and a stamp pad to share at the next meeting. We decided that we want to create new projects using each other's images as we passed ATCs around. Everyone has really cool stuff!
The Challenges for next time:
-Mystery Picture ATC (using an image that is not what is appears to be)
-An ATC using a stenciled image (from Sue's demonstration/workshop)
We have 4 birthdays to celebrate for May and June: Lisa, Sarah, Barb, and Nicole!
Please bring your ATCs for the regular trade and JAMS if you have any.
And don't forget your framed ATC (in a shadowbox) for the Bookstore exhibit!
See you in May!
