July 7 Transit Traders Meeting

A summer heat wave engulfed Oil City as we assembled for the July 2012 meeting of the Transit Traders. A record FIFTEEN people meet in the classroom of the Transit Building even though it was prime summer vacation time.

The meeting began with a demonstration by Sue Spencer. Sue showed us how to use the Mega Tool by Impression Obsession to create flawless stamped backgrounds.

We then took turns passing around the cards we made to fit the two assigned themes- Patriotic and Book Page. We always marvel at the creativity of other group members who come up with such unique ways to interpret a theme and incorporate materials.

After drawing numbers to determine the trading order, we walked around the room to select our favorite cards from the offerings of other group members. A few of the fantastic ATCs from the trade can be seen at the slide show at the top of this page.

The eight participating members then drew numbers once again to trade Altered Playing Cards. This month we trades Nines and Eights. Some themed cards included Dressed to the Nines, Nine Lives, Oxygen (element number eight), the Eight Ball.
