The azaleas and hydrangeas were in full bloom around Oil City as we assembled for the May 2012 meeting of the Transit Traders. Thirteen people meet in the classroom of the Transit Building to chat, swap, and share ideas.
We began the meeting by sharing the individual cards we had made from the previous kit challenge. It was so interesting to see how everyone had interpreted a different theme and created a unique card.
Unfortunately Sue Carlson caught the bug that is going around and couldn't be present to demonstrate for us. We hope she is feeling better. Sue Spencer tried her best to pinch hit with her kit full of supplies, but no one had any baby oil so her idea will have to wait until another meeting!
After drawing numbers we walked around the room to make our trades. A sampling of the cards can be seen at the slideshow at the top of the page.
Sue Spencer, Linda Fisher, Jenn Lofink, and Nancy Dengle contemplate which trade to select from a bounty of good choices.
Jackie Hedlund, Karen Hughes, and Nancy Dengle discuss techniques used on the trades
Eight members then drew numbers once again to trade Altered Playing Cards. This month we trades Jacks and Tens. Themes included Jack of all Trades, 10 Cleveland Indidans, Get Back Jack, and Jack Russel Terriers.
Susan Spencer has volunteered to demonstrate the Mega Mount tool from Impression Obsession at the next meeting. We always look forward to seeing new tools and techniques to incorporate into our card making!
