Announcements included that our own Nicole Keller will be teaching an ATC Class on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 1pm-4pm in the Transit Building. Cost is $30 plus a $5 materials fee. How exciting! Here is the link with information on how to register: http://www.oilcity.org/classes.
We did our Show and Tell for the 2 challenges from January: "Using Postage Stamps" and "Using a Rubber Stamp as a Tool." As Marilyn says, "We have so much talent in this group!"
We tried something new for the Blind Trade for the March and April Calendar ATCs that worked well. We put the cards themselves, March only and then April only, in a bag and people drew them.
Nicole demonstrated the: "Embossed Aluminum HVAC Tape Technique." Thank you Nicole!
We then did our Regular Trade and JAMS.
Challenges:
1) Make (1) ATC using the black and white picture you chose from Nancy L. of our unnamed girl
2) Make (1) ATC representing something you are looking forward to doing this Summer
3) Make (1) ATC using "Embossed Aluminum HVAC Tape Technique" as demonstrated by Nicole
Bring your ATCs for the regular trade and for JAMS. It was agreed upon that we are going to try something different for the next meeting. Instead of planning to trade up to 20 ATCs for the regular trade, each member is going to plan for 10. We will divide the group in half and only trade with half of those in attendance. The intention is to make it feel less like "work" for some members to create ATCs.
Nancy L. will be doing the next demonstration and workshop: "Paper Molding With a Rubber Stamp." If you have one, please bring a big rubber stamp without a lot of detail.
The next meeting will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1pm at the Transit Building.

2) (10) Artist Trading Cards for the regular trade
3) May and June ATCs for the Blind Trade
